FAQ
1.Can I log in to Mixin Messenger directly with a 12 or 24-word mnemonic?
No. You must first register with a phone number or a Mixin-specific 13-word mnemonic, then import your 12 or 24-word mnemonic wallet afterward.
2.Does Mixin store my mnemonic?
No. Mixin never stores your PIN, private key, or mnemonic. They are encrypted and stored only on your device. If you log out, delete the app, or remove the wallet, they will be lost. Please back up your mnemonic securely.
3.Why is the wallet unavailable after switching devices or re-logging in?
After re-login, imported wallets become watch-only by default. To sign transactions, swap, or transfer assets, you’ll need to re-import your mnemonic (you will be prompted when attempting actions like buy, deposit, or send).
